Ten questions, answered honestly · Including the awkward ones

Not medical advice

The answers on this site are general information written to help people understand a product. They are not medical advice, they do not make us anybody's healthcare provider, and they are no substitute for asking someone qualified.

About joints specifically

JointBrex is a dietary supplement. It is not a treatment for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout or any other joint disease, and no capsule taken by mouth has been shown to rebuild cartilage. Do not use it in place of a diagnosis, prescribed treatment or physiotherapy. A joint that is hot, red or swollen, particularly alongside a fever, may mean septic arthritis — an emergency that can destroy a joint within days. Morning stiffness lasting over an hour may mean inflammatory arthritis, where treating early substantially changes the long-term outcome.

About the label question

We report a difference between the product's Supplement Facts panel, as supplied with this project, and the claims made on its reference sales page. We describe what each document says and we say plainly that we do not know why they differ. We are not alleging that the product is counterfeit, adulterated, unsafe or dishonestly sold, and nothing here should be read that way. Labels and pages change — check the bottle you receive.

FDA position

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

No dietary supplement is FDA approved. Any product described that way is being described wrongly. Manufacture in an FDA-registered facility is a statement about a building.

Interactions we mention throughout

  • Turmeric and curcumin — anticoagulants and antiplatelets, diabetes medication, gallstones, surgery within two weeks
  • Coleus Forskohlii — blood pressure medication and nitrates, anticoagulants, stomach acid
  • BioPerine and piperine — raises absorption of many medicines, effectively increasing their dose

Allergies and diet

The capsule shell contains gelatin. The two documents we worked from contradict each other about shellfish, so neither can be relied on. Anyone with a shellfish allergy or a dietary restriction should get written confirmation from the manufacturer first.

Individual results

Where we describe what an ingredient is formulated to support, that is a description of intent rather than a prediction about you. Nothing here is a promise or a claim about typical outcomes.

No reviews published

We publish no named reviewers, star ratings, review counts or review markup, because we cannot verify any of it.

Affiliate relationship

We are paid a commission on qualifying purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you. It has not shaped our answers, which are mostly discouraging. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" as the FTC asks.

Where to Buy, and What to Ask First

Some readers will work through every answer here and decide to try it anyway. That is a reasonable thing to do with clear eyes. The pricing page has the current totals, the figures that contradict each other, and the questions to put to a pharmacist first.
